HISTORY
Mike Filonczuk, UCLA alumn, patented inventor, co founder of hollywoodparts.com and president of Oakdale Creative LLC first envisioned custom collegiate condoms when he was at UCLA from 1970 to 1974. "No self respecting Bruin would ever wear a Trojan!" Mike remembers telling his intramural buddies. "If USC can have their own brand of condoms (ignorant at the time to the fact there really is no connection between USC and Trojan brand condoms) Then we Bruins should have our own condoms too!" Thus the concept for Bruin Condoms was born.
Now shifting to reality, Mike has found the actual licensing of Bruin Condoms is rather difficult. Even though Oakdale Creative would carry all the necessary product liability insurance, the University is still reluctant to license Bruin Condoms due to liability issues as well as the thought that Bruins Condoms would somehow reflect badly on the University. I'm currently collecting Emails and petittions from alumni, students and faculty, to try to pursuade UCLA to finally license Bruins Condoms.
Please contact me with your thoughts and any aid you might have to get this project moving forward. I have had positive response from UCLA Student Health, Aids Awareness and all have agreeed that Bruins Condoms would increase condom use and therefore improve student health.
If you would like custom condoms for your University, please contact me for franchising information.
Bruins Condoms are not currently for sale and have not been licensed by UCLA.
